I went to the All Things AI conference in Durham, NC 3/23-3/24. I have never been so excited, hopeful, overwhelmed, and afraid all at the same time. I have been keeping my ear to the ground, trying to take in as much of AI as I can. This conference solidified that I have not even scratched the surface.

The rate that AI is coming towards us feels like a tsunami. And then William Hurley kicks things off talking about when AI finally decides, in the near future, to hook up with quantum computing and how that will change humanity forever. WTH!?! We are literally living in a movie right now, and I can’t wait to be a part of how it all plays out!

The conference was amazingly eye-opening and confirming. The key takeaways for me were that everyone needs to get their hands dirty with anything AI. Learn, interact, build, train. In the next 5 years, nobody will care how efficient you think you are, they will care about how much more efficient you could have been with AI. Your future value, from an employment standpoint, will be in your ability to leverage AI to become even better.
